Targeted Skills & Learning Goals

One-on-one summer instruction is available for language or math skills, focusing on relevant goals chosen for your child.

• Reading & Spelling Foundations and Practice:  Phonological awareness and knowledge, techniques and strategies for word decoding, segmenting and blending words, or applying learned strategies to reading and spelling tasks
• Written Expression: Sentence and/or paragraph structure, idea generating, organizing thoughts, committing ideas to written form, expanding and extending, or improving written sophistication
• Math Foundations (grades 1-5): Learning and retaining math facts, understanding math patterns and concepts, learning and practicing grade-appropriate operations, or following sequential math steps and procedures
• Math Core Concepts (grades 6-8): Mastering critical but missing concepts and abilities typically introduced in Middle School; these are chosen from identified knowledge gaps discovered in an initial assessment
