Our Programs – Proven to be Effective
The Ministry of Children and Family Development requires that learning programs for children are based on “Best Practices” which means programs must be supported by scientific evidence and proven to be effective.
Mind Over Learning has created programs in reading, writing, comprehension, and math that work exceptionally well for our students. We apply the principles of the Orton-Gillingham approach and have modified our programs from the foundations upon three different levels: the learning plan, the individual lesson, and how the lesson will be presented. Students with complex learning needs and disabilities require a different way of being taught.

Reading & Spelling
Our modified Orton-Gillingham Reading & Spelling Program is built on a phonological sequential system that effectively builds reading fluency, accuracy, and enjoyment for learning.
Math Foundations
This program focuses on the mastery of all foundational operations, facts, and skills required for conceptual understanding and success in mathematics.
Curriculum Math
Our instructors offer individualized support aimed at the student’s level concentrating on bringing understanding to relevant math content and concepts.
Writing
We have assembled a comprehensive program for building understanding in both writing construct and skills, teaching fundamental principles, and creating sophisticated writing abilities.
Reading Comprehension
By breaking language into coherent and digestible parts, this program assists students in developing the integral skills necessary for reading comprehension.
School & Life Skills Course
This 8-week course equips students with essential skills such as executive functioning strategies, computer skills, internet safety, building social confidence, and more.
Online and Home School Support

Summer Tutoring & Programs
