Mind Over Learning’s techniques and program are established on the acclaimed Orton-Gillingham system, which is recognized as the world’s leading authority for teaching students with disabilities. We have modernized and updated the O-G program from its inception in the 1930’s. Our thorough research and extensive experience increases the program effectiveness, adapting and designing it for students with learning disabilities, learning delays, or symptoms of diagnoses that affect learning.

Our specialized program content includes and embraces the unique features of each student’s learning disability, creating an individualized experience. Through careful design, our programs enable learning and encourage the student to move forward by successfully mastering each step.

Many children with learning disabilities or diagnoses require an environment free of distraction, with an attentive instructor. Our team members are equipped with the ability to identify and relate to each student’s unique communication skills and emotional state.

We have also taken into consideration the importance of a constructive physical environment essential for our students to learn. The layout of our center is designed to provide a quiet, calming, and distraction-free space, promoting focus. For virtual lessons, we ensure our instructors have a simple, and silent area. We also provide parent resources on how to set your child up for success if joining us virtually.

With one-on-one tutoring sessions, each student will get the chance to feel accepted and acknowledged through an instructor’s undivided attention. Our dedicated instructors are prepared with both foundational communication skills and an understanding of non-verbal limitations.
